ABOUT

HELLO FELLOW & ASPIRING YOGIS AND YOGINIS!

Ever since I can remember, I've always had this ridiculous passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their happiest, healthiest versions of themselves.  I have a quality where I truly see the good, the light in others, but I want to inspire people to see it for themselves!  I've always known that I've wanted to inspire others through movement, but it wasn't until recent years I found it most passionately through yoga.    I truly believe that a happy being equals a healthy being and yoga is the first type of movement that I've experienced that truly allows me to feel beautiful inside and out. By sharing the ability of movement throughout the body, I hope to inspire everyone that they are limitless.  My style of teaching is edgy but I truly believe that you can acheive anything you put your mind to if you are confident in your breath and your body, and that's what I want to express through my teaching.

After cheerleading competitively throughout highschool and collegiate levels, and after earning my degree in Exercise Science from Morehead State University, life found me living in Atlanta, Gerogia.  Teaching and working all over the city, I found hot vinyasa yoga at LIfetime Fitness in Sandy Springs.  It was the most epic yoga class I had ever taken.  It was like THIS is what I have been searching for all my life!  I soon journeyed my way back to Michigan, accepting a cheerleading fitness director position, and signed up immediately for yoga teacher training under Jonny Kest at the Center for Yoga in Birmingham, MI.  This yoga was like nothing I had ever experienced: radical, sweaty, free flowing, breathtaking, lifechanging, liberating, unexplainable...  After dabbling in so many different forms of exercise- barre, crossfit, training for bikini competitions, weightlifting, running, this was something that I believed to be an actual LIFESTYLE that I could sustain forever.

I ended up becoming the Group Fitness Manager at Lifetime Fitness in Troy and then Rochester Hills, MI.  I was very passionate in our brand, grateful for my position (as it was my dream job) and loved my yoga, group fitness, and cycling departments but after taking Yoga teacher training and practicing almost everyday with Jonny Kest, I felt the more yoga I did the less of anything else I wanted to do.  Instead of managing others, I wanted to be out in the world teaching, adventuring, and learning myself.  Never settling anywhere for too long, inspired by all the teachers and people in the community, I decided to take my love for yoga and desire to travel around the world.  Yoga and teacher training had made such a positive impact on my life, that all I want to do is share the gift of yoga and movement.  I have a wanderlust, gypsy soul- wanting to experience every sensation life has to offer.  I have a deep desire to travel and share my passions to as many people as I can in lifetime. I believe that we can change the world through yoga, so I've made it my life's mission to make this world a happier, healthier place.  So here I am starting my teaching and traveling adventures in Melbourne, Australia.  My favorite place to be in the world is in a yoga studio (or a beach, practically the same thing), no matter which continent I'm on, so I'll be blogging about what I find or who I find, until I have a studio of my own.  I hope you enjoy my website as an opportunity to be inspiried to practice, travel, make personal connections, and to ultimately be happy and free.
